Research Fellow

The National Institute of Mental Health is inviting applications for the position of Research Fellow under the Jan Ámos Komenský Operational Programme. This is a position within the framework of the Call for Excellence in Research in the project entitled Excellence in Research on Digital Technologies and Wellbeing (reg.no. CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004583).

The aim of the project is to carry out excellent research in the field of safe use of digital technologies for the development of physical, psychological and social well-being. Emphasis is placed primarily on the development of excellent research teams in the field of psychology and social sciences, with the aim of raising the level of Czech science in these two areas, as it is not yet world-class in them.

Duration of employment: fixed-term until 31 December 2025 with the possibility of extension

What will be your job description

  • Communication and facilitation of activities relevant to research project 4.1 (E-mental health tools for wellbeing)
  • Participation in the project in relation to research and practice in the field of increasing mental resilience and mental wellbeing through increasing mental literacy, especially in digital environments and using digital tools
  • Scientific activities in the areas of research, planning, designing and conducting studies, interpreting results and writing and publishing scientific articles

What we expect from you / evaluation criteria

  • Excellent command of English 
  • University degree in psychology (min. Bc.)
  • Experience in public mental health, wellbeing and research activities
  • Demonstrable ability to independently solve and lead sub-research tasks or conduct complex research and development within a project and demonstrate strong initiative and autonomy
