The department provides social counseling to all our patients, their family members and other close people. Counseling is provided directly in the inpatient care departments or on an outpatient basis after prior e-mail or telephone appointment at the contacts listed below.

Social workers prepare documents for issuing a Decision on temporary incapacity for work and a Confirmation of the duration of temporary incapacity for work or quarantine. During the hospitalization, they solve problems related to social issues with patients (communication with the ČSSZ, social departments of municipal authorities, employers, the Labor Office, courts, schools, etc.), issue confirmations of hospitalization to patients and participate in ensuring continuity of follow-up care for discharged patients. Social workers lead educational groups in individual departments about social issues (applications for disability pension, old-age pension, possibilities of obtaining social benefits, etc.).
