The NIMH Technology Transfer Office assists scientists, physicians and other active academics and professionals in translating the high quality and innovative results of their work into practice. 

The main objective is to accelerate the transfer of knowledge and results of science and research generated at the NIMH to the application sphere. This is done, for example, by ensuring appropriate protection of intellectual property or by choosing an appropriate business strategy - selling patent licences or establishing a spin-off company. In this area, the NIMH Technology Transfer Office provides researchers with expert legal and commercialisation assistance, for example, finding a suitable investor or business partner interested in licensing the technology, negotiating licensing terms, etc.
