Profile
The facility offers treatment through non-invasive brain stimulation methods for patients with depressive disorder, OCD, and schizophrenia. We provide treatment in the form of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS), and transcranial electrical stimulation (tES).
Patient Appointments
Patients are scheduled for outpatient evaluations based on a referral from a psychiatrist (Type K referral) and submission of a detailed medical report. Patient selection for treatment follows the latest national recommendations for rTMS and tDCS (Klírová et al., 2023), with an emphasis on safety and appropriate indication.
Treatment
Treatment can be administered on an outpatient basis or during hospitalization in our departments. Typically, the treatment requires daily visits (Monday to Friday) for stimulation sessions, which are delivered in a series of 20 to 30 sessions over four to six weeks. For hospitalized patients, the treatment involves a 4 to 6-week inpatient stay.
Throughout treatment, the patient’s health is continuously monitored by a specialist, and treatment efficacy is assessed upon completion. In the case of symptom relapse (especially for patients with recurrent depressive disorder), repeat treatment is possible. However, due to capacity constraints, patients are not transferred to permanent care at our facility following the conclusion of treatment.
