Annotation

Our goal is to investigate the role of chronological and biological aging in the development of affective and cognitive disorders in several periods of life, study their common neurobiological substrates as well as inequalities in their occurrence, and propose measures aimed at reducing the burden of mental disorders in the Czech Republic. To achieve these goals, we analyze data from large participant sets that include data on the environment in which people grew up. We follow these individuals at different stages of life, applying a life-course perspective to understanding the brain aging process.
