Annotation
Police are faced with many mentally and communication-intensive situations on a daily basis, including communication with mentally ill persons, victims of serious crimes, or persons intending suicide. These situations trigger strong psychological reactions and require social skills and experience. The aim of the project is to develop social skills training in a virtual environment that will strengthen the ability of police officers to effectively manage socially tense situations and thereby protect the health of all involved. With the help of experts from various disciplines, we will develop a VR application for training police officers, whose effectiveness will then be verified through an international comparative study. We will develop a certified methodology to use VR in training.
