In this project, we create ecologically valid exposure scenarios in a virtual reality environment that capture common complex social situations that patients with HPO rate as challenging (symptom provoking) such as social exclusion, rejection or ignoring. The participant enters these situations from the 1st person and has the opportunity to react to them immediately (from a selection of more or less adaptive reactions) and evaluate them retrospectively. During your stay in the app, physiological stress is measured by monitoring heart rate variability (HRV). The project studies the reactions of people with HPO to complex social situations with an emphasis on impulsive decision-making and impulsive aggression.
