Mgr. Alex Kratina studied Animal Physiology with a specialization in Neurobiology at the Faculty of Science at Charles University, where he is also currently studying for a doctorate. His diploma thesis focused on The effects of ketamine on the circadian system, a research field in which he still continues. In the Sleep and Chronobiology Research Centre he participates in studies involving animal models and molecular-biology methods. He also works closely with the Laboratory of Biorhythms at the Faculty of Science. His dissertation aims at the overall characterization of the circadian effects of ketamine in an animal model.
